As part of the yearlong celebration of our 140th year in Toledo, Maumee Valley has created a weekend of reflection Oct. 18-19 featuring our three most recent heads of school: Phineas Anderson P ’97, ’99; Gary Boehm P ’01, ’05; and Lynn Casto P ’23, ’24. The event is titled “A Generation of Excellence: Reflecting on 30 Years of Educational Leadership.”

Friday, Oct. 18: The heads spend the day with students in all divisions. Among their planned activities are experiencing Forest School, learning about the Middle School community service program, lunch with student leaders, and sharing their thoughts at a special Upper School assembly. Moderating that afternoon discussion (2-3 p.m.) are Jaden Jefferson ’26 and Josh Wang ’25, who are student representatives on the Maumee Valley Alumni Council.

Saturday, Oct. 19: The MV community is invited to a panel discussion at 11 a.m. in the Millennium Theatre, followed by a luncheon on the Bluestone. Moderating the discussion is Patty Wise P ’08, P ’14, P ’20, former chair of the Board of Trustees. The panelists will reflect on leadership, MV’s progressive programs, and favorite memories.
