Maumee Valley will administer the PSAT to all 10th and 11th graders on Thursday, Oct. 24. That morning, 12th graders will be working with the college counseling department (more info to come from college counseling). Students in 9th grade will NOT report to school that day. Read on if your student is in 10th or 11th grade.

PSAT INFORMATION
PSAT testing begins promptly at 8 a.m. We ask that students arrive no later than 7:50 a.m. and promptly report to their testing locations (will be emailed to students ahead of time). After the exam is over, students are expected to leave campus. Students can be picked up at noon unless a student has approved accommodations for extended time. Lunch will not be provided for those students leaving at noon.

All 10th and 11th grade students have been registered to take the PSAT. Please note: The test is mandatory for all 10th and 11th grade students receiving EdChoice Scholarships.

The PSAT is only available online. Students will be using their own devices to take the exam. Therefore, students will need to add an app to their devices for test delivery. We will be meeting with the sophomores and juniors on Monday, Oct. 21, to get their devices set up. If your child is not able to add apps without parental permission, please be prepared to help them get what they need installed before test day.

Additionally, students must have a device that will hold a charge for four hours. Charging of devices during the exam is only allowed for those students receiving extended-time accommodations. After our device set-up meeting Monday, you will be contacted if your student’s device is not compatible with the test. In addition to bringing their devices, on test day, students should bring:

  • An acceptable calculator (scientific, graphing, all fine).
  • For any student who uses an epinephrine auto-injector (e.g., EpiPen), a clear bag for storing it under their desk during testing.
  • For students with an approved accommodation to use a calculator on the “No Calculator” section of the Math Test, a separate, basic 4-function calculator. (Percentage and square root functions are permitted.)

If you have questions about what a student may or may not bring, please contact Jana Smith (jsmith@mvcds.org).
