The Independent Schools Association of the Central States, of which Maumee Valley is a member, is presenting a year-long series of webinars designed to strengthen partnerships with parents and caregivers.

The 2024-2025 Parent Series begins Sept. 25 with a webinar titled “Back-To-School Momentum: Prepping Children of All Ages for the Challenges (& Successes) of a New School Year.” The presenter is Lynn Lyons, LICSW, an internationally recognized psychotherapist, author, and speaker with a special interest in interrupting the generational patterns of anxiety in families.

Each webinar begins at 7 p.m. EST and requires registration. Register now for the Sept. 25 event.

Other dates and topics are:

  • Nov. 19: Never Enough: When Achievement Pressure Becomes Toxic—And What We Can Do About It (presented by Jennifer Wallace)
  • Jan. 15: How to Raise Socially Skilled Tweens & Teens Who Can Navigate Friendship Challenges (presented by Phyllis L. Fagell)
  • Feb. 12: Squish the Peas: Life Lessons from Toddlers on How to Live a Happier, Healthier Life (presented by Hasan Merali)
  • March 11: Raise Your Children & Adolescents to be Authentically Successful, Emotionally Healthy & Prepared to Thrive (presented by Ken Ginsburg)
  • April 9: Planning for Summers of Growth & Joy (presented by Michael Thompson)

You can read bios of each speaker and more about each topic through the program guide.

Prior to each webinar, ISACS will send Maumee Valley a Zoom pre-registration link, which we’ll share with the MV community. All parents, caregivers, or other community members (faculty and staff, for example) who plan to attend the live presentation must complete the Zoom pre-registration before the event begins.

Webinars will be recorded and available to registered schools until June 30, 2025, unless otherwise noted.
